The purpose of Women’s Ministry is that every woman at FRPC know Christ personally and be committed to extending his kingdom in her life, home, church, community, and throughout the world.
Throughout the year, Women’s Ministry provides a program of meetings and activities that encourage the women at FRPC to pray, study the Scriptures, fellowship, and serve the Lord together. Under the oversight of the Session, the Women’s Ministry Council is organized into several committees that work together to better serve the women and entire church family at FRPC.
Women’s Ministry Council
The council consists of three women serving as the Executive Committee, a Treasurer, and the Chairwomen of the seven standing committees represented by the ministries listed below. The purpose of the Women’s Ministry Council is to coordinate the work and activities of the women so that their efforts will complement and support the overall plans, program, and mission of FRPC.
This committee is responsible for coordinating women’s bible studies and also informing women in the congregation about opportunities for spiritual development through retreats, seminars, conferences, and other resources provided by the presbytery and denomination.
Hospitality and Fellowship
This committee serves the congregation by providing meals for members in need, receptions, funerals, showers, conferences, and more.
This committee seeks to encourage prayer by educating women, overseeing the prayer chain, recruiting prayer warriors, and forming small groups for prayers and prayer partners.
Salt and Light
This committee seeks to involve women in the needs of the community and evangelistic outreach and also caring for shut-ins by establishing a schedule for calls, notes, and visits to every homebound member.
This committee seeks to encourage fellowship and Christian growth for FRPC women of all ages by coordinating special events throughout the year.
This committee oversees the care and organization of the church kitchen and is also responsible for seasonal decorating, laundering and storage of linens, storage and organization of Women’s Ministry supplies, and coordinating workday projects with deacons.
This committee oversees the care and organization of the infant nursery, toddler nursery, and mother’s room.
