But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Luke 18:16

Children’s Sunday School

Starting at age two (by August 31), we have classes ranging from toddler through high school. We use an excellent curriculum by Great Commission Publications that focuses on teaching the Bible to children and youth from a Reformed and Christ-centered perspective. These classes are taught by members in our church who have a passion for instructing children and youth and showing them the love of Christ.

Truth Troop

The goal of Truth Troop is to show the love of Christ to Penn Hills by providing free tutoring in Math and Reading for students from second through fifth grade. We meet on Wednesday afternoons during the school year at 3:45pm in the Fellowship Hall. Each week, students will enjoy activities and games, tutoring in Math and Reading, snack time, and a bible lesson. Click here for more information about Truth Troop.

Nursery

The purpose of the Nursery Ministry is to come alongside parents as they seek to raise their children in the love of Christ. They do this by providing a safe, clean, loving environment for their children (ages 8 weeks to 4 years) as they attend worship. The Nursery Ministry not only seeks to provide a safe, clean, and loving environment for children, but also to foster in the children a love of God and his church. The nursery handbook can be accessed HERE.

Children’s Choir

The Children’s Choir is a music ministry for children from age four through fifth grade that seeks to encourage a love of singing praises to God to the children of the choir, who in turn minister to the congregation through Christ-centered worship. Children learn hymns, choruses, and seasonal arrangements.
