Parish Groups

The goal of our Parish Ministry is to foster life together at First Reformed by promoting personal discipleship and “one-anothering” within our church family through the means of hospitality.

The goal of our Parish Ministry is to foster life together at First Reformed by promoting personal discipleship and “one-anothering” within our church family through the means of hospitality. Under the oversight of the Session, the congregation is organized into four geographical regions or “parishes” that are designed to facilitate bible study, prayer, fellowship, and outreach.

Following the model of the New Testament, each parish is led by at least one elder along with the assistance of at least one deacon who work together to care for and serve every member within the parish (see Acts 6:1–7; Eph. 4:12; Phil. 1:1; 1 Tim. 3:1–16).

Parishes are organized into four geographical regions:

  • Westmoreland/Monroeville led by Walt Turner and Fran Campbell

  • Murrysville/Plum led by Scott Magnuson and Rick Stiffler

  • Penn Hills, Plum, & Monroeville (East Suburbs) led by Bob Bremmer

  • Verona, Oakmont, & North of the Allegheny River led by Paul Sabella and Glenn McGuire

  • 376 Corridor & West led by Brian Dutton and Isaac Kumar

Each parish meets at least once or twice a month for bible study, fellowship, and other activities. These gatherings are an ideal place to build Christ-centered relationships within our church family.

You are more than welcome to attend one of our parish groups. Please contact the church office if you would like more information about parish events near you.
